New to CrossFit?
New CrossFitters begin with our Foundations program: two, 60-minute, conveniently-scheduled private sessions with one of our coaches ($180 - includes the two sessions and the remaining month's membership). These two sessions will train you in the basic skills used in CrossFit workouts. Once you complete Foundations, you will advance to our regular group classes. The coaching staff reserves the right to require the completion of additional sessions in order for the athlete to move on to the group classes. Why do I need the Foundations program?
All athletes new to CrossFit need to complete the Foundations class before group classes for their own safety and the safety of others. Regardless of your fitness level, if you have never done CrossFit, you need to know the basics before moving forward. Our number one goal is to keep you safe, healthy and in a position to be successful. We do this by indoctrinating you into the community at a reasonable pace.
As athletes ourselves, we understand human nature. Human nature will make you think that you can do more than you can, before you are ready. The two sessions that you take for Foundations will leave you with a good, core understanding of what we are trying to achieve, and it will leave you with a thirst for more. It is important for you to understand your body, why certain movements are critical to your development and what movements you need to be more cautious of (and committed to learning) in order to make you successful.
Once I have completed the Foundations, what do I do next?
You are ready to attend regular classes. Just show up.
