*** Warning Emotional Content *** It's our fearless leaders BIRTHDAY!!! I remember the first day I met Mike and I Boss'd him so hard that he almost didn't come into CrossFit....that was a pivotal moment in the history of Mike and I's friendship (especially because I did it about 9 more times until he said something) and as I sit here in The Swamp after hours, just having coached my last class of the night, looking at what Mike and Jenna have brought into all of our lives I am truly humbled. When I first met Mike he was a stranger, became a community member, followed soon by an upgrade to friend, and then finally a brother ( he's also technically my employer but I wanna BOSS him again so there it is...ill probably have to work Saturday and Sunday for that). He has inspired me to not only be a better person and expect more from myself but I feel like he has given me a purpose, a reason to get up in the morning and share what I love with a dedicated community and there is no amount of words that I can say to thank Mike and Jenna for that. I have seen The Dude through some very high points....quitting his full-time job and the birth of Jax just to name a few......and I have seen him at some VERY VERY VERY low points....my favorite was 13.3 when he looked like a fish out of water trying to get a muscle up next to me followed very closely by ANYTIME he does "Eva"...Through it all he has been an example of integrity, a role model, and someone who we can all go to for anything that we may need as long as you read the email first and the question wasn't already answered in it, god help you if you do that. I for one am truly honored to be a part of his life, to be so close to his family, as well as have him be a huge part of mine....Mike you are truly a brother to me so from the bottom of my heart Happy 40...I mean 39th Birthday!
