One of our members and good friends Melissa Baran had a cousin that was killed in Afghanistan on April 27, 2011. Air Force Major David L. Brodeur and seven other airmen were killed by an Afghan pilot at Kabul International Airport who opened fire on them that day. Major Brodeur had a CrossFit "Hero" WOD designed for him, and it is honored in his nickname, "Klepto". To my knowledge, there are 127 "Hero" WODs in existence right now, and there are 12,000+ affiliates across the world. What I am getting at is that it is extremely rare for a member of a CrossFit community to have such a close familial connection with one of the heroes that the CrossFit community has chosen to honor by creating a workout for. Let's show up on Monday, April 27th, 2015 and give everything we have for Major David L. Brodeur and his family for their courageous service and sacrifice to this country. We will have a "Klepto" donation jar at the front desk for anyone that chooses to donate to the Brodeur Foundation, www.brodeurfoundation.com.
4 rounds for time of: 27 Box jumps (24, 20) 20 Burpees 11 Squat cleans (145, 105)
